Note From The Author: FTA Course Part 1: The Tour

 Don't worry, these will happen frequently. These will be used to set the scene in more detail then what Dani (the narrator of the story) can give you although I am writing down her thoughts. She can't really tell you what she looks like, what she wears or her personality. She also doesn't focus too much attention on what other people look like unless he/she are a threat to the FTA. She can't tell you what her missions are or more about the FTA that I can since I am not part of it and it is my creation.
  To begin, you are going to start the FTA Course. This is the teaching method all FTA agents go through to get their license. Not only will I take you through it but you will experience it through videos that will be produced during the course. Although you will not personally get a mission some of you who are reading and comment during the story of Dani, may be picked for a special mission with Dani. It might be easy, it might be hard, but either way you will be trained and ready.

  One of the first things we do here at the FTA is give a tour to all our incoming "freshman." Its not like high school I promise so make that off the "I Can't Do This" list. The first room we show every freshman is the interrogation rooms. The picture above is what every room looks like. There is a one way glass (not shown) in each room and on the other side computers, lie detectors, and lie experts are behind it monitoring the suspects movements, actions, and facial expressions.

  The next room is the forensics/ballistics room. If you have ever watched Bones, that is exactly what our room looks like. Then we have the offices. Up above you can see cubicles and the glass window for a regular office. If you are an agent, you get the glass office. If you are a secretary for the agents, you get the cubicles, which in fact are very comfortable. 

   Last of all we have the bathrooms. They are actually quite nice but you have to be careful. Tests are run on the water every other day so if you are on the pot while the test are being ran (which we hope you never are), make sure your pants are no where near the top of the toilet bowl. This is for safety purposes only because we have a lot of threats. Now that your tour is done, please take a seat in our viewing room where the welcome video shall be played.

Angela Hood 

   "Mrs. Hood, did you notice the tracks on Lanely Road when you sent your daughter to her grandmother's house?"

  "No, I have been here all day worried sick about my Little Red. She has been out in the forest, too long."

  "Ma'am don't worry we will find her. Did you notice anything strange outside your home?"

  "Not really, although I was hanging up my clothes when there was a rustle of branches. Eyes were staring  at me and then I heard a growl. I ran into the house before I could see that it was a wolf. He took my pies that I had out on the window sill to cool and switched it with the one that is there now."

  " Marty, go look out side for more paw prints. I'll take some pictures of the scene."

   On the window was the spot where the fake pie was left, a calling card was lefi. Not just any mark but a leaf I had seen before. "Marty, get the tweezers." As Marty ran to the car, I looked at Mrs. Hood. "Ma'am have you seen this before."
   "No, I haven't. What is it?"
   I explained that the mark told the FTA who would be the first of the wolf's victims. "Wolfgang was a copy cat of earlier rivals but more thorough and vicious. After the explanation, I decided to radio HQ. "D to Mother Bird, come in."
  "Mother Bird to D"
  "Mother Bird, we have a trained wolf headed to Grandma Hood's home, I repeat the wold is trained, over."
 "D hold your position, over and out."
  "Hold my position again. What do they expect from me? I am one of their top agents and they want me to hold my position?"
  "Um, Dani, your talking out load and here is a bag and tweezers."
  "Thanks Marty." I began to pack the tools after the evidence was collected and went out side back to my laptop. The leaf was common in the Black Forest but only few wolves used it as a calling card. The Hazelnut tree leaf was also very common to find on the ground of the forest during the winter but when it was taken off the tree during the spring, it usually meant something fishy was going on.

On The Trail Of Wolfgang

Danville, Black Forest

12:24 pm

 We had gotten a call from Andy the turtle (a trusted civilian to the FTA) who found these tracks near his home on Lanely Road. We believed these were the tracks of The Big Bad Wolf. My partner, Agent Marty, and I were taping off the scene when he found some other evidence. 

  "Dani, I found some hair."

  "Bag it."

  "Alright." 

  The hair was grey and long. "Hey Marty, measure these paw prints, will ya?"

  "Alright."

  I took out my laptop at that moment and pulled up the research that I had over wolves of the Black Forest. "Ok, the size should be about 1.1 to 1.2 decimeters long. Also, the stride should be 5.1 to 7.6 decimeters." 

  "That's what they are Dani." 

   "Alright. Now we need to put that hair into the computer and see if it matches the wolf we are going for." There was a beeping in the background from the portable DNA machine we had in the back of the car.

   "DNA match confirmed"

 " It matches." I sent the match to the FTA and radioed the headquarters. " D to Mother Bird, we have found The Big Bad Wolf tracks, over."

  "Mother Bird to D, interview personale in the area, over."

   "D to Mother Bird, got to, over and out." I looked over at Marty. " We need to do some interviewing of the neighbors. Lets get going." 

Black Forest, Germany

  Welcome to The Black Forest located in Germany. Here is where the Grimm Brothers told tales of our kind but the true story lies with us, the Fairy Tale Agency or the FTA. The building you see in the picture above is our headquarters in the country. Unless you work with us or are using this as a reference, we cannot tale you anything more about the agency. Our best detectives are on many of the cases we get each day.
   You may be wondering who I am so I am going to make this brief. The name is Agent Dani (I'm female if you are wondering). Writing this is every ones first assignment at FTA and yes I am a freshman at this whole thing.
   To tell you a little bit about the missions I'll start with this. Many of the places we cover in The Black Forest are located inside it, although the whole agency covers every fairy tale villain you have ever heard of but you never ever see us in these stories because of our great skills.

        This is  my first assignment (after this written description of myself): to find and take down the big bad wolf. Well, that's his code name. His true name is Wolfgang (with the "w" sounding like a "v"). I will be documenting the whole tale here.
